Obelisks are tall and have square bases. The obelisk tapers upward toward the sky and will sometimes include a decoration such as a statue, pyramid or ball near the top. In many cases, instead of a decoration at the top of the capital, there will be an urn. The obelisk is made up of a base, capital, and shaft and can range from very short to more than 90 inches.
Growing in popularity, angel monuments come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Most angels are hand sculpted and hand carved. While many businesses offer angel monuments that are mass produced in China and India, Supreme Memorials, Inc. hand carves each angel in our facility. We have the ability to custom design your angel monument all the way down to the details of the face.
Families looking for traditional burial monuments, but still want to be cremated, now have options. Supreme Memorials, Inc. provides many different styles of cremation memorials ranging from bench memorials to upright family monuments and private family columbaria.
Monument Engraving Services
We employ the area's finest engraving experts to ensure that your loved one's memorial matches the quality they deserve. Our team can handle letters that are knife-cut, frosted outlines, hand-tooled or hand-drawn, and many more styles. This is what distinguishes us from many other monument shops, and has helped keep us around since 1951.
Once the team is on site, we carefully review our worksheets, the contract, and the cemetery permit to verify the information we have on your engraving request. We will then coat the area of the monument to be lettered with a filler that seals any small pits in the granite or marble. When the material from carving the letters is removed, these open areas are then sandblasted with silica sand until they are the same depth as the surrounding letters. If the work requires hand-carved lettering, the process is slightly different - we still protect your memorial and we still use a template, but the letters are cut using a hammer and a chisel.

"I really want to express my gratification to your company for engraving my mother name on the monument in resurrection cemetery. Your staff is "in the know" about regulations and rules of the cemetery and your company works very efficiently. Job well done"
"I have always remembered your store on the corner of 4th avenue and 17th street since I was a kid. We would always drive by and I wondered who ever goes shopping for a tombstone. Your shop is like a landmark in the Park Slope area because everybody knows the larger than life Blessed Mother in your window. When mommy passed away the funeral director (name withheld) informed us he only recommends Supreme Memorials because they are still a family business and they provide excellent customer service. He was right, and this is why I am writing this thank you note. Thank you for the care your staff provided to our family, thank you for the excellent job, thank you for the level of service your staff gave us, thank you thank you thank you."
